HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?Honestly:

There is no serious blanket answer. The duration depends on the reason for your MPU. Three typical guides:

Without proof of abstinence
If no proof is needed (for example with points or some alcohol cases), the preparation itself can be finished within a few weeks.
6–12mo.
With proof of abstinence
If documented abstinence is required, its length sets the timeframe. The preparation content runs in parallel.
Your pace
Until you are ready
In the end it is not the calendar that counts, it is your confidence. Only once your psychologist gives the green light do you go into your MPU.
The biggest lever: The earlier you start, the more options stay open, especially if proof of abstinence becomes part of the strategy. We work out the exact timeframe for your case in the free consultation.
